Broker/Owner:  Dianne Bartlett

I grew up in Rockwall, Texas, near Dallas and moved to Austin in 1981 to attend the University of Texas.  I graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor’sDegree, and in 1994, I earned a Master’s Degree in public school administration.  I worked as a teacher for 8 years and was an assistant principal for 2 years primarily in the Round Rock schools.  In 1999, I changed careers and got into real estate, because I’ve always wanted to run my own business.  Like in education, I still get to help people and solve problems, but I’m also free to use my creativity to get the job done right.  I really enjoy what I do.  In 2005, I earned my broker’s license and created my own independent brokerage, Brightside Realty, LLC.  Recently, I’ve purchased an EXIT Realty franchise and am now doing business as EXIT REALTY ASSOCIATES. 

Currently, I have 25 agents contracted with my brokerage, but my goal is to have at least 20 more agents within 6 months.  I have a vision of offering the public a real estate company filled with positive, helpful, team-oriented agents who are able toserve them with all aspects of real estate in all areas of town.  When I taught school, I was also a cheerleader sponsor, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than cheering on a fellow real estate agent and helping them to be successful.

I’ve also got a great family.  My husband, Matt, is a native Austinite, and his parents have lived here since the 1950’s.  Matt is a systems designer for Signature Science.  We have a son, Kevin, who is 18 and attends Lake Travis High School.  He plays soccer, and we all enjoy sailing, boating, skiing and snowboarding.
